Dear Reader,

The Wildlife Habitat of Port Douglas is one of two great things to do in Port Douglas the other is watching the poorly dressed tourists disembark from the multiple cruise ships that dock in the town.    Note to all of you: the food is abysmal in Port Douglas except for one notable exception called “Salsa” good luck getting in however as it is booked for months).

The Habitat used to be only an aviary, but has expanded and now has many different types of open tents for animal viewing.

The unbelievable Cassowary Bird is native to the Daintree and will attack if provoked or protecting young
